Open Tenure-Track Assistant Professor Positions at the Institute for Statistics and Mathematics

We have two open tenure-track assistant professor positions at our institute, with a focus on:

• Foundations of optimization and learning for sequential decision making (including reinforcement learning theory, Markov decision processes, contextual stochastic optimization, machine learning for operations research, and operations research for machine learning)

• Statistics (at the intersection of methodology, mathematical foundations, and computational methods)

The candidate’s research portfolio should demonstrate fundamental methodological contributions with clear connections to applied research addressing real-world problems in business, economics, or related fields.
