Christian is a postdoctoral researcher at WU's Institute for Retailing and Data Science (RDS). Before, he received a bachelor's and a master's degree in Software & Information Engineering (TU Vienna) and worked as a teaching and research associate at the Institute of Interactive Marketing & Social Media (WU Vienna). His PhD-thesis is titled "gaining marketing insights with machine learning" and is supervised by Prof. Nadia Abou Nabout. In his research, he studies new business models (e.g., music streaming) and social media platforms by applying state-of-the-art machine learning techniques (e.g., neuronal networks).
He gained already international experience through teaching stays (e.g., TBS in Bangkok and UGM in Indonesia) and research stays at New York University (US), Bocconi University (IT), and the University of New South Wales (AU).
