Google Cloud's Sales Leader about the Top B2B Sales Traits

On May 23, 2022, the 5870 Personal Selling and Sales Management class, led by Dr. Zoran Latinovic, had the pleasure of having Jim Fairweather, Head of Corporate Sales for Google Cloud in the Northeast US, in the class as an online Guest Speaker. Jim joined remotely from Cambridge, Massachusetts, and shared his managerial insights about the most salient traits of top B2B salespeople in a contemporary business arena.

Jim detailed why courage, humility, and integrity are the top three characteristics according to his vast B2B sales experience. Moreover, Jim's guest talk did not lack in sharing the importance of work-life balance and maintaining a healthy work-life perspective and prioritization. Google helped Jim to be trained in the basics and be more aligned with his versatile goals.

Currently, Jim is focused on the tech and startup community working with CEOs and Co-Founders to accelerate their growth, scale, and time to market. Prior to Google, Jim worked at IBM, serving in multiple sales roles with responsibility for software, hardware, services, and financing in the Midwest US market. Jim graduated from Butler University, where he received a Bachelor's degree in marketing.
