Track: Central Europe Connect (CEC)
The joint certificate program gives bachelor’s students the opportunity to study at three different locations as part of the spezialisation International Business and strengthen their expertise in Europe’s fastest growing region together with international students from WU partner universities. Company visits, city tours, social events and working on projects together will enable students to build up a personal and professional network in the region.

Course Structure
After having successfully completed the two basic courses of International Business in Semester 1, you take the following three dedicated CEC courses:
Structural Dynamics in Central European Economies
As spezialisation IB Course 3
Marketing Resources and Consumer Behavior in Central Europe
As spezialisation IB Course 4
IB Business Project: Strategies and Management for Central Europe
As spezialisation IB Course 5
Attendance is mandatory at all times during each CEC course week. It is the responsibility of the students to be available for the entire week of all course weeks (see below for the exact dates).
Application Process
A maximum of 20 students from WU will be accepted for the Central Europe Connect Joint Certificate Program on top of the regular number of students admitted to the spezialisation International Business.
The link for registration can be found in the course catalogue and is sent out via e-mail sometime around the date of the IB entry exam.
Once admitted to the CEC track, it is not possible any more to switch to other IB tracks.
Please do not apply if you will be on an exchange semester during the period when the three blocked courses are held. Participation cannot be deferred or transferred to a future semester.
Financial Support
Travel, accommodation and living expenses during the blocked courses abroad have to be covered by each student.
Each student receives financial support for the course weeks abroad totaling at least 400€, which is subject to a successful application according to CEEPUS, Erasmus+ and WU regulations. The sum provides financial support, but will usually not cover all the costs for the time in Bratislava and Warsaw. Detailed information will follow after admission to the program.
Joint Certificate
After successful completion of Central Europe Connect, students receive an official joint certificate signed by representatives of all three institutions, WU, EUBA and SGH.
