The Commemorative Year 2018

The year 2018 marks the 80th anniversary of Austria’s Anschluss to Nazi Germany. To mark this occasion, WU is organizing a number of activities intended to critically examine the role of its predecessor institution, the University of World Trade, in the years from 1938 to 1945.

In May 2010, the WU University Library launched an investigation intended to identify Nazi-confiscated items in its collection. The project was started on the initiative of the library management and approved by the Rector's Council.
