Corinna Dengler and Quirin Dammerer were recently awarded funding by the City of Vienna’s WU Jubilee Fund for their project “Shared Housing for Affordable and Resilient Environments in Vienna (SHAREVIE)”. Over the coming months, they will examine shared housing in Vienna as a building block of a social-ecological transformation. As part of the project, they will analyze the number and characteristics of shared housing arrangements in Vienna, as well as their social, ecological, and economic potential and the challenges they face. In addition, the project identifies institutional framework conditions that facilitate or hinder shared living.
