Dr. Stefan Herytash is Assistant Professor at the Institute for Strategy, Technology and Organization. His research lies at the intersection of strategic management and applied AI, with a particular focus on data-driven decision-making, technological transformation, and organizational strategy. He combines formal modeling, simulation, and large-scale data analysis to study how organizations make decisions in rapidly changing environments.

He studied mathematics at ETH Zurich, the University of Zurich, and TU Wien, and received his doctorate (Dr.oec.publ.) summa cum laude from LMU Munich. His dissertation examined how large language models can be used to simulate human decision-making.

He looks forward to collaborating with colleagues and industry partners on data-intensive research projects and welcomes exchange on new ideas.
