Applied AI and Scientific Computing

Welcome to the WU Competence Center for Applied AI and Scientific Computing

The newly founded WU Competence Center for Applied AI and Scientific Computing at the Vienna University of Economics and Business is a cross-disciplinary institution, with a founding team of researchers from the Departments of Information Systems and Operations Management; Finance, Accounting and Statistics; and Marketing. We aim to create a space at WU where AI researchers and practitioners come together to create innovative AI solutions, transfer research insights to practical applications and evaluate AI applications. The new Competence Center will work closely with academic and service units at WU to establish the necessary infrastructure and procedures for productive AI application in research, teaching, and administration. We will also organize courses, workshops and consultations on AI projects.
