Der Inhalt dieser Seite ist aktuell nur auf Englisch verfügbar.

Founded in 2005, the Research Institute for Regulatory Economics is a think tank with the goal of building up knowledge on the interplay between competition and demands for regulation. The pursued research focused in the beginning mainly on network-based energy supplying and electronic communications industries. Since 2020 the institute expanded its research focus regarding climate change.

The Research Institute for Regulatory Economics convenes international researchers for scientific exchange on the subjects of efficiency measurement in regulated industries, efficacy and effects of regulation as well as the relationship between regulation and investment/innovation. We strive for a productive sharing of knowledge with practitioners, allowing us to ally academic research with politically relevant decision-making processes.
