Building on the 2025 conference The Autonomy of EU Law Under Pressure, LawGov's Birgit Hollaus, Stefan Mayr, and Tamás Molnár have co-edited a peer-reviewed, open-access Special Section, now published in European Papers.

Bringing together “inside” and “outside” perspectives, the Special Section “The Many Facets of the Autonomy of EU Law: Inside and Outside Views” explores the autonomy of EU law as a dynamic and evolving principle, shaped through engagement with international law rather than existing in isolation. It brings together a selection of conference contributions that have since been substantially further developed and refined through the journal's double-blind peer-review process.

This publication marks the first set of contributions arising from the conference. A second set of peer-reviewed articles is already progressing through the publication process and will be announced on our website once it becomes available.
