New Topic:
Companies’ role in fighting Cybercrime to reduce impacts on society.

In the information society we live in, impacts of ICT on society are manifold. Due to the Internet of Things, big data or social media, society has become even more vulnerable. Companies and their responsibility for their own systems, but also the possibility bringing forward awareness in business and private live, play an important role in this area. Thus, the 2017 GRES-IT/IS workshop will not only focus on the rather broad topics (green, responsible, ethical, social/sustainable). In addition, cybercrime and the role of companies in the fight against it, are welcome. This includes (but is not limited to):

  • Companies (intrinsic or extrinsic) responsibility for safeguarding their information systems

  • Companies’ efforts to raise awareness for cybersecurity

  • Measures to fight the spread of cyber attacks

  • The role of critical infrastructures and their protection

  • Measuring companies’ efforts to fight cyber attacks
