As the Central and Eastern European markets grow in importance, so does research into CEE business law. WU's Research Institute for CEE Legal Studies focuses on legal and comparative law research in Central and Eastern European business law. Currently, the following countries are included in the Institute's research program: Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Russia, and Slovakia. Research activities concentrate mainly on corporate law, capital market law, contract law, banking law, law on collateral, and real estate law. Regularly scheduled events help the Institute's researchers share their findings with law colleagues and the interested public, and results are published in law journals and books.
