Today, universities have to explore alternative sources of funding if they are to maintain high levels of quality and offer their students an education that meets high international standards. This is especially relevant for today’s universities, which often have to deal with budget cuts and financial restrictions.

Philanthropy is therefore becoming more and more important for WU. The support of our donors and sponsors allows us to fund additional projects, particularly in research and teaching, which help WU deliver excellence and strengthen its international reputation. Our service unit is WU’s point of contact for corporate relations and fundraising (sponsoring, private donations, cooperations, wills and legacy gifts) and provides a wide range of services to the global WU alumni community.
