SBWL Sustainability Reporting

The specialization Sustainability Reporting offers a comprehensive insight into sustainability reporting. Students gain an in-depth understanding of the current regulatory requirements for sustainability reporting, particularly in the context of the European Union (NFRD, CSRD, SFDR, EU taxonomy). In addition, they gain in-depth knowledge of common frameworks and standards (ESRS, IFRS) in the area of sustainability reporting. The specialization also examines the auditing of sustainability reports in order to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the practices and challenges in this area. In addition, students are prepared for the impact of sustainability aspects in investment and financing decision-making processes.

The specialization Sustainability Reporting provides students with a wide range of career opportunities in an exciting and growing professional field. The specialization prepares students for an international career in the field of sustainability reporting. Possible career paths include specialist and management positions with the following specialisations: 

  • Preparing sustainability reports in (inter)national non-financial and financial companies 

  • Ensuring sustainability data quality in (inter)national non-financial and financial companies 

  • Providing consulting services for the preparation of sustainability reports and audit and assurance of sustainability reports

Registration for the Specialization starts on 29.08.2024 and ends on 13.09.2024 and takes place via LPIS. Students who have been admitted to the SBWL will be informed by 22.09.2024 at the latest. All information on the admission procedure can be found here.
