Inhalte der LV:

The course on International Mergers and Acquisitions provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the theoretical and practical aspects of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) in the international business context. Students will explore the strategic and cultural dimensions of cross-border transactions, equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to evaluate and manage international M&A deals.

Lernergebnisse (Learning Outcomes):

Upon the completion of this course, students should be able to:

- Understand the conceptual framework of international mergers and acquisitions

- Analyze the strategic motivations and drivers behind cross-border M&A transactions

- Examine the cultural and organizational challenges in managing international M&A integration

- Assess the impact of international M&A on stakeholders and corporate governance

- Apply the knowledge gained to real-world case studies and develop practical recommendations

Lehr-/Lerndesign:

The course will employ a variety of teaching methods to facilitate the achievement of the intended learning outcomes. These methods have been carefully selected to provide comprehensive support for students' understanding and application of the course material. The teaching methods to be used include: lectures, class assignments, discussions, and groupwork assignment and presentations.
