Lernergebnisse (Learning Outcomes):

By the end of this course, students should be able to:

  1. Articulate the epistemological underpinnings that differentiate qualitative from quantitative methods.
  2. Develop a qualitative research design, with a focus on case study methodologies.
  3. Apply frameworks for qualitative data analysis, particularly in the context of case studies.
  4. Evaluate the quality and rigor of qualitative research.
  5. Write a master thesis that effectively structures results and arguments.
Regelung zur Anwesenheit:

Attendance for all four appointments is compulsory. Each session is designed to be intensive, covering significant ground in both theoretical and practical aspects of qualitative research methods.

In case of necessity the course format can be switched to a full online format.

Before each appointment, students are required to read designated chapters from the required texts.
