Inhalte der LV:

Efficient and goal oriented meetings enable organisations to be faster in decision-making processes, thereby saving employee costs. It is therefore important for students to become familiar with moderating techniques and the essentials for the effective facilitation of meetings. 

In this workshop you will learn and practice how to 

  • Prepare the agenda and the meeting invitation
  • Plan the meeting facilitation
  • Use appropriate methods for facilitating a meeting
  • Use visual aids for facilitating meetings
  • Plan the follow-up of the facilitated meeting
  • Write a short protocol
Lernergebnisse (Learning Outcomes):

After this workshop students will

  • Understand the basic role of a facilitator
  • Know different tools / visualisation methods for facilitating meetings
  • Be able to adequately plan meeting facilitations, to prepare an agenda and the meeting invitation, to write a short protocol
  • Be aware of the time factor for successful meeting facilitations
  • Be able to conclude facilitated meetings with goal-oriented methods
  • Be able to reflect their own meeting facilitation and to analyse meeting facilitations of others
Regelung zur Anwesenheit:
Attendance is 100% compulsory in the workshop. If you arrive late you lose your place without refund of the deposit.
Lehr-/Lerndesign:

The basics for reaching the Learning Outcomes in social competence workshops are the students' interest, curiosity, active participation and involvement:

  • Prepare and facilitate a meeting 60%
  • Reflection 10%
  • Participation 30%

Structure of the workshop:

  • Block 1: theory and demonstration of a facilitation, including visualisation
  • Block 2 & 3: small groups of 2 to 3 students facilitate 30 minute meetings and receive feedback
  • Afterwards: written reflection of the learnings

Attention:

A deposit of Euro 30 must be paid for this course; the amount must be received in our account no later than 2 days after registration. If you do not pay the deposit on time, you will automatically be deregistered from the course.
