In these two ~3hrs Tutorials and entry exam, the students will repeat the prerequisites learnt in previous courses such as - BIS 1 (BaWiSo/BaWiRe), Business Analytics (BBE) - Introduction to Statistics (BaWiSo/BaWiRe), Quantitative Methods (BBE) necessary to qualify for the SBWL "Data Science". You will also discuss and learn about more general skills necessary for a "Data Scientist", such as analytical, logical thinking and problem solving. |

| Lernergebnisse (Learning Outcomes): | ||
Based on practical examples and 2 3hrs repetitoria, students shall be prepared to a) recall the necessary prerequisites in terms of data formats, data Structures and data security and data protection as covered by BIS 1, as well as basic statistics. Additionally, we will prepare the students to solve creative tasks on how to tackle data-related problems and to assess their analytical thinking skills. |

There will be 2 tutorial sessions á 3hrs (xxx 13:00-16:00 (Online)) AND (xxx 13:00-16:00 (Online)), to repeat the necessary content of previous courses from the CBK with practical examples to recapture the required concepts and methods. Attendance of these tutorial sessions is optional. |

| Leistung(en) für eine Beurteilung: | ||
This entry course for the SBWL "Data Science" consists of two (attendance optional) tutorial blocks à 3hrs and concludes with an (obligatory) 90min written, MC entry exam that will be held on Thu, 15.02.2024 08:00-10:30 as an online exam The exam will consist of 3 blocks (8 MC questions each):
Passing the exam is obligatory to enter the SBWL "Data Science". Further information on the SBWL's admission process, also regarding the "GreenCard" regulation to the SBWL, can be found at the SWBL Webpage, cf. https://www.wu.ac.at/dpkm/teaching/sbwl-data-science.
