Inhalte der LV:

The course provides theoretical and practical knowledge for students with a broad interest in change management methods and tools. The course includes five content-intensive modules designed to familiarise students with the way managers facilitate organisational resilience in turbulent environment. Furthermore, the course provides a brief excursion into methods of qualitative and quantitative analysis with the aim of supporting students with conducting their thesis projects.

Topics: understanding the tools and models for managing the organisational change, increasing organizational efficiency by improving processes, introducing sustainable and digital transformation techniques, developing soft skills and recognizing the role of emotional intelligence and cultural intelligence.

Learning objectives:

  • Understand the tools and models for managing the organisational change in increasingly volatile and uncertain business environment. 
  • Expand the outlook on how optimize the operational resilience and increase organizational efficiency.
  • Develop an understanding of sustainable and digital transformation techniques.
  • Develop hard-skills and soft-skills, recognize the role of emotional intelligence and cultural intelligence. 
  • Enhance a teamwork collaboration.
  • Familiarise with methods of qualitative and quantitative analysis. 
Regelung zur Anwesenheit:

Attendance is compulsory in this course. Compulsory attendance is met when students are present at least 80% of the time. In case of absence, please inform the course instructor. 

Lehr-/Lerndesign:
  • Discussions
  • Simulation (business case)
  • Group project: workshop or literature review presentation
  • Individual reflection on the literature
  • Group project: student presentations + submission of The Final Group Project report 
Leistung(en) für eine Beurteilung:

Active participation: 10%

Group work: Workshop or Literature Review: 25%

Individual Literature Review: 15%

Group project: 50% (presentation - 20%, report - 30%)

 

Fail (F - 5) 0 - 60%

Sufficient (D - 4) 60.1 - 70%

Satisfactory (C - 3) 70.1 - 80%

Good (B - 2) 80.1 - 90%

Excellent (A - 1) 90.1 - 100%
