The class focusses on the practice of strategic management. We will apply classical and modern concepts of strategy in real-life company challenges and develop strategies for executives of our partner companies. We will visit three companies in Vienna, e.g. Austrian Airlines, KTM, Manner, Durchblicker, … (dates tba)
The objective of the course is to give students the opportunity to directly work with Austrian companies that face strategic growth challenges. The class will cover concepts of Porter, Hamel / Prahald and others as well as recent developments in agile and start-up concepts of strategy. We will directly visit Austrian companies at their premises (depending on corona regulations) and work on their real, practical strategies. The students will deliver their analysis directly to those companies.
