The advantages of E&I

Selecting a specialization is one of the most important decisions you will make as a student. It can influence your future course of studies and career, and as such your entire life. To ensure you learn a lot and profit from the specialization you choose, it is important to make sure your interests and skills are a good fit with the specialization’s content and requirements.

It is very important to us that you know what awaits you within the E&I specialization, what content we cover and what we expect from our students. Click here for more detailed information. Our regular student surveys show a high level of satisfaction and our alumni have progressed into impressive careers. However, survey responses also show how demanding the E&I specialization is. In other words, exceptional dedication and hard work will be expected of you. Entrepreneurs are never slackers, and our students embody this strong work ethic. You will be rewarded with a state of the art entrepreneurial knowledge and skills, a strong academic and professional network and the opportunity to apply your knowledge on real world business projects.

The application process in brief

2. Grades and E&I Skills Fit	Application deadline by latest Feb 5, 2024 23:59 Upload your application documents https://www.wu.ac.at/en/entrep/programs/bachelor-program-sbwl/applying-for-ei/.
3. Mail information about acceptance	On Feb 9, 2024 to students' WU email accounts
4. "E&I Welcome Event"	Please make sure that you will watch all project course videos from the provided playlist before February 13th, 2024, and attend the mandatory E&I Welcome Event (March 4, 2024, 4:00-6:00pm, WU Campus) to get to know the faculty and your fellow students.

Prerequisites for applying to the E&I specialization

The general admission requirements from your curriculum are the prerequisites for getting into the E&I specialization.

Students are selected based on WU student ranking and application documents (E&I Skills Fit).

The two criteria are weighted as follows:

WU Student Ranking: If your current grade point average puts you in the top 5% of your cohort (ranking: grades only), you will be automatically accepted into the E&I specialization. Just use the online application form to send us your GPA confirmation (during the application period) and you will be accepted. Please make sure that all required grades are listed in time in the ranking you submit to us. Please also remember to register for the “Access to Specialization in Business Administration: Entrepreneurship and Innovation” course on LPIS. Please note that the automatic acceptance is limited to a maximum of 40 spots. In case there are more applications from top 5% students than spots available, a ranking based on the GPA is applied. Furthermore, all applicants will be notified and encouraged to also apply via the skills entry mode.
Skills & CV: At least 20 spots are reserved for applicants with exceptional skills who are accepted to the program regardless of their GPA. Since we aim to equip our students with the knowledge and skills needed to be future entrepreneurs, we invest a lot of time in selecting the ones showing the greatest potential to thrive within our specialization. Therefore, we chose a skill assessment as part of our application process to learn more about our applicants and their past endeavors. Since we know entrepreneurship is not only about excellent grades, we encourage you to show us your organizational talent, your go-the-extra-mile attitude or your creative mind. But when selecting extraordinary potential, we cannot merely look to the past. Thus, in order to evaluate your aptitude in the future, we ask you to elaborate on a skill that you do not yet posess but wish to hone within the realms of our specialization. Additionally, we ask you to upload your current CV. (Please note that the CV should not be used as your skill proof. We highly recommend that you use other supporting documents like reference letters, certificates, etc.)
