Inhalte der LV:

This course provides an introduction to international corporate governance and its practical application in steering companies. The course will cover the key theories and practices of corporate governance, including the roles and responsibilities of boards of directors, shareholders, executives, and other stakeholders. The course will also examine different governance models and frameworks used in various countries and organizations. In addition, the course will use case studies to discuss how corporate governance is or can be applied in real-world situations.

Lernergebnisse (Learning Outcomes):
  • Understand the principles and theories of corporate governance
  • Explain the roles and responsibilities of various stakeholders in corporate governance
  • Compare and contrast different governance models and frameworks
  • Analyze case studies of corporate governance challenges and solutions
Regelung zur Anwesenheit:

In order to successfully pass this course, your absence is limited to 20% of all appointments. This applies to all appointments not matter the type (i.e. online or in-person).

During the two sessions on Wednesday, March 20th 2024, coaching sessions for the cases to be presented by the individual teams will be scheduled. You will only have to attend the designated coaching slot of your assigned team.

Leistung(en) für eine Beurteilung:

The course grading system is based on:

  • Class participation: 10%
  • Quizzes: 30%
  • Individual assignment: 10%
  • Group presentation on a case study: 50%

Grading scheme:

  • Excellent ≥87,5%
  • Good ≥75,0%
  • Satisfactory ≥62,5%
  • Sufficient ≥50,0%
  • Fail <50,0%
Teilnahmevoraussetzung(en):

The LPIS system manages a waiting list for incoming exchange students.
