Research Profile

Stephan Leixnering’s research focuses on the governance and organization of the public sector. He also works on the emergence of organizational forms and ethical aspects of organization and management. His current research covers collaborative city governance, issues of public corporate governance, the effectiveness of public auditing, and joined-up government on the local level. Other projects are on the institutionalization of the corporation as a legal form, public interest-oriented organizational forms, public sector executive identities and the morality of organizations.
