The Institute for Austrian and International Tax Law wants to inform you about the

Ernst Mach grant - worldwide

which is awarded by the Austrian agency for international mobility and cooperation in education, science and research (OeAD-GmbH) and the Centre for International Cooperation & Mobility (ICM) on behalf of and financed by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Economy (BMWFW).

The Ernst Mach grant enables graduates from all countries to apply for a research period (one to nine months) in Austria supported by a grant. The grant benefit paid is a monthly rate of Euro 1050 (for graduates) or Euro 1150 (for graduates with a PhD degree). More details can be found here. In order to be able to apply for the Ernst Mach grant the consent of an Austrian supervisor is needed. The Institute for Austrian and International Tax Law would be very happy to support the application of a limited number of promising candidates who are doing research in International Tax Law.

We kindly ask you to inform us if you are interested in applying for an Ernst Mach grant by Wednesday, 15th December 2022 (as the closing date for applications will be on Wednesday, 1st February 2023 for research periods within the academic year 2023/24).

Along with the requested documents from the OeAD (see the link here) we would need the following information:

  • CV (please include your date of birth - this is necessary because of the age limit for the grant)

  • Publication list

  • TWO preferred research stay dates - these should always start on the first of the month and end on the last of the month

  • topic title and a brief outline of your doctoral thesis (for prae-docs) or research topic (for post-docs)

Please note: applications are possible for research stays within the academic year 2023/24 (i.e. between October 1, 2023, and September 30, 2024)

We are looking forward to receiving your applications by email to                                sophie.brandstaetter@wu.ac.at

Kind regards
