PhD candidates are invited to participate in the Doctorate Workshop related to the conference “Crypto Assets: Tax Law and Poilcy”. The Doctorate Workshop will be held in Rust (Austria), on Thursday June 29, 2023 from 15:30 to 18:00 and will be organized by the Institute for Austrian and International Tax Law, WU in cooperation with the Doctoral Program for International Business Taxation.

The Doctorate Workshop provides an opportunity for doctoral students with a thesis topic related to that of the conference to give a short presentation of the current status of their work and their preliminary research results. After each presentation one of the DIBT collegiates will comment on the PhD project of the speaker (from the point of view of his or her discipline). Then the project will be discussed amongst the students and professors who are already present in Rust.

If you are a PhD candidate wishing to apply, please submit the online application form together with your CV and research outline (structured according to the application questionnaire) by April 2, 2023.

If you know someone else who might be in the target group and might be interested in applying, please spread the word and encourage them to apply! The application process is competitive, and those who are selected by the committee will be admitted to participate in the doctorate workshop and the conference for free. In exceptional circumstances, financial support for travel and/or accommodation could be possible (but has to be negotiated individually).
