On-campus activity will be limited in winter semester 2020/21 and there will be a mix of course formats. Incoming exchange students who cannot join us physically have the possibility to complete their exchange virtually. Students who will be present in Vienna can expect to experience a variety of formats, depending on the individual classes. Make sure to check the course syllabi in our course catalog carefully for information regarding formats.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to coursesinenglish@wu.ac.at in case you have any questions or need assistance.

You cannot make it to Vienna, but don’t want to miss out on getting to know the Austrian culture and the Viennese way of life?

WU Vienna, together with the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, gives you the unique opportunity to partake in virtual, experiential learning. Introduction to German Language and Austrian Life & Culture is an online, introductory Austrian culture and language course taught by lecturers of the Illinois in Vienna Programs based in Vienna. It is a fast-paced, online language and culture course worth 8 ECTS credits. Please note that students are expected to be available for all scheduled online sessions and to consistently work on assignments throughout the semester (October – December).

Students interested in participating are kindly asked to send an email to the lecturers Kyle Schmude (kyle.schmude@wu.ac.at) and Evita Nitsch (evita.nitsch@wu.ac.at) by October 2, 2020.
