How much does it cost to participate in the ISU WU?
The participation fee consists of the program fee and the tuition fee. The participation fee depends on the applicant's home university where he or she studies. For details on the different participation fees, please refer to the Participation Fee section.
What is included in the program fee?

How can I transfer the program fee?
The program fee can be paid by:
International bank transfer. The bank account details will be included in the acceptance email. Please note: The fee must be paid free of any bank charges to be paid by the recipient. Please make sure to pay any transaction fees your or our bank may charge. If you fail to cover any bank charges you will be asked to pay the missing amount during your stay in Vienna.
Credit card payment. Students can pay with credit card by filling out a payment form. Please refer to the Participation Fee section of our page.The link to the credit card payment form will be sent to you via e-mail.
When do I need to transfer the participation fee?
Successful applicants will receive an acceptance letter via email with detailed information on the applicable participation fee and the payment process. The fee must be transferred to our WU account within two weeks of receiving the acceptance email. If WU has not received payment after expiration of a two-week-period, your place will be offered to other applicants. If there should be any delays please contact the ISUwu manager or assistant.
Do you refund the fee if I withdraw my participation in the summer program?
Students can cancel their participation until May 10, 2020. In this case the International Office reserves the right to withhold a service fee of € 250.
If a student cancels his/her participation after May 10, 2020, the International Office reserves the right to withhold a cancellation fee of € 750.
If a student cancels his/her nomination after June 14, 2020, the International Office will not refund any portion of the participation fee.
How do I know if my home university is a partner institution of WU?
How do I know whether I am eligible to apply under the "program fee and waived tuition" or "program fee and reduced tuition"?
If your home university is a WU partner university, you can be officially nominated by the responsible outgoing coordinator by March 15, 2020.
In case of successful nomination by your home university, you are eligible for the total fee for exchange students.
If your home university is a WU partner university, but does not officially nominate you, you are still eligible for the total fee for non-exchange students
from WU partner universities.
If your home university is not a WU partner university, you are eligible for the total fee for international freemover students.
