The CUHK sum­mer pro­gram is a five-week short pro­gram. Ap­plic­a­tion, se­lec­tion and nom­in­a­tion are or­gan­ized by WU. The part­ner uni­versity, the Chinese Uni­versity of Hong Kong (CUHK) is in charge of the over­all pro­gram and or­gan­iz­a­tion.

  • Loca­tion: Hong Kong, Ch­ina

  • Dur­a­tion: 5 weeks

  • Pro­gram dates: June 24 - August 1, 2018

  • Par­ti­cipants: 5 WU-stu­dents and other in­ter­na­tional stu­dents

  • Ac­cred­it­a­tion: The CUHK Sum­mer Pro­gram can be ac­cred­ited as 2 reg­u­lar busi­ness courses at WU worth 8 ECT­S-Cred­its, given that the course was com­pleted suc­cess­fully. For possible course ac­cred­it­a­tions please con­tact course.abroad@wu.ac.at.

  • For­eign ex­per­i­ence abroad: The ECT­S-Cred­its earned at the CUHK Sum­mer Pro­gram can be con­firmed as part of "for­eign ex­per­i­ence abroad" (IB­W-Aus­land­ser­fahrung)  in the in­ter­na­tional busi­ness bach­elor pro­gram, if the course was com­pleted suc­cess­fully.

  • All fees paid are non-re­fund­able un­less other­wise spe­cified.

  • The cau­tion money and hostel de­posit (if ap­plic­able) will be re­fun­ded in late Oc­to­ber if there is no out­stand­ing pay­ment.

  • To be con­sidered as an ex­change stu­dent, the stu­dent’s home in­sti­tu­tion must have an ex­ist­ing ex­change agree­ment with CUHK and has of­fi­cially nom­in­ated the stu­dent for ex­change.

  • The ad­min­is­tra­tion fee cov­ers ori­ent­a­tion, farewell and cul­tural activ­it­ies.

  • The on-cam­pus ac­com­mod­a­tion fee does not in­clude a meal plan.

  • The visa fee cov­ers a stu­dent visa to Hong Kong. All ex­change stu­dents will be re­quired to pay the visa fee through the on­line ap­plic­a­tion sys­tem upon con­firm­a­tion of re­gis­tra­tion. The fol­low­ing stu­dents will re­ceive a re­fund for any visa fee over­charged: Hong Kong res­id­ents who do not need stu­dent visas; stu­dents at­tend­ing both ISS July and August Ses­sions and other CUHK sum­mer pro­grammes (if ap­plic­able); and cur­rent stu­dents in the In­ter­na­tional Asian Stud­ies Pro­gramme (IASP) who ex­tend their study at CUHK.
