CUHK Summer Program
The CUHK Summer Programme 2020 is a five-week short program. Application, selection and nomination are organized by WU. The partner university, the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is in charge of the overall program and organization.

Recognition: The CUHK Summer Programme 2020 can be recognized as regular business courses at WU based on the CUHK-WU credit hour conversion (1 CUHK unit = 2 ECTS credits, compare: Credit Transfer Online Database), given that the course was completed successfully. For credit transfer options please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
IBW International experience: 8 ECTS credits earned at the CUHK Summer Program 2020 can be confirmed as part of the "IBW International experience" (IBW-Auslandserfahrung) in the international business administration major (IBW) if courses are completed successfully.

As of now, the CUHK Summer Programme 2020 will take place as planned. However, we must inform you that the current state of the political situation, as well as further developments especially in summer 2020 are difficult to assess and to anticipate. If you are interested in participating in the program, we advise you to keep up-to-date about the situation in Hong Kong with reliable media coverage and / or official advises from e.g. the Austrian Federal Ministry of Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs. Of course, we will let you know right away in case of any occurring changes and will publish this updated information online.
The CUHK academic program will be held in English. WU students may select 2 business courses from the area "Business and Management". These 2 courses can be accredited as regular business courses at WU based on the CUHK-WU credit hour conversion, given successful completion. (1 CUHK unit = 2 ECTS credits)
8 ECTS credits can be confirmed as "IBW international experience", if courses are completed successfully.
The program fee consists of the following positions:

Not included in the program fee are: foreign travel health insurance, flights and transfers, vaccinations (if needed), meals and additional expenses on site.

All fees are subject to final confirmation by the University.
All fees paid are non-refundable unless otherwise specified. The caution money and hostel deposit (if applicable) will be refunded in late October if there is no outstanding payment.
To be considered as an exchange student, the student’s home institution must have an existing exchange agreement with CUHK and has officially nominated the student for exchange.
The administration fee covers orientation, farewell, cultural and weekend activities.
The on-campus accommodation fee does not include a meal plan.
The visa fee covers a student visa to Hong Kong. All exchange students will be required to pay the visa fee through the online application system upon confirmation of registration. The following students will receive a refund for any visa fee overcharged: Hong Kong residents who do not need student visas; students attending both ISS July and August Sessions and other CUHK summer programmes (if applicable); and current students in the International Asian Studies Programme (IASP) who extend their study at CUHK.
