Tourissimus 2019 goes to ...

16. April 2019

The Tourissimus, which is considered "The Oscar" for educational institutions in the field of tourism in Austria, was awarded on April 11, 2019 in Krems by the Austrian Society for Applied Tourism Research (ÖGAF). In the course of this, the best bachelor and master theses in the categories "Marketing and Destinations", "Sustainability" and "Tourism Economy" were awarded and the two best educational institutions were chosen.

The Department was again successful this year and was able to bring the small TOURISSIMUS for the second best educational institution to Vienna. This trophy is based on the excellent theses of our students Stasa Dolar GROBELSEK, Carola KUSCHEL and Helen SROKA, who presented their work to a top-class jury, and they won individual prizes, too. In the category "Tourism Economy" Stasa Dolar GROBELSEK convinced with her master thesis "Private Hospitality and Citizenship Behavior" and was awarded second place (Supervisor: Ulrike Kaiser). Carola KUSCHEL (Supervisor: Barbara Stangl), who also competed in this category, also made a valuable contribution to the TOURISSIMUS award. In the category "Marketing and Destinations" Helen SROKA (Supervisor: Barbara Stangl) won successfully with her master thesis.

We congratulate all award winners and supervisors!
