How to manage online reviews in the hotel industry?

Today Konstantin Kremslehner defended successfully his dissertation on online reviewing behavior in the hotel industry. Using a unique dataset he acquired in close collaboration with his family-run hotel business, he shared with us interesting insights into the drivers of participating in reviewing (mainly personal and previsit characteristics) and what turns into favorable review ratings (primarily onsite and service-related characteristics).

He also discussed managerial implications and offered valuable advise for hotel managers.
