Marlene Würfl, MSc
Marlene Würfl is the lead program manager for the Department's master's program in Strategy, Innovation, and Management Control since November 2018.
Marlene is a graduate of the Master in Management from WU, and she is currently completing an additional master’s program in “Integrative Urban Development – Smart City”. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Tourism and Leisure Management at the IMC FH Krems.
Marlene has a strong international focus and enjoys working with students from all over the world. During her master studies, she worked at the International Office of WU as a program manager for the "International Short and Summer University Programs", as well as a coordinator for the "Vienna Innovation Program" and for general exchange in North America. Marlene also worked at the ORF as a volunteers manager during the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Vienna.
During her bachelor studies, she spent an exchange semester in Sweden, and completed a practical training semester in Ireland at a Ritz-Carlton Hotel. She also attended the International Summer University Program of Copenhagen Business School.
Marlene is also a researcher at the Energy & Strategy Think Tank. Her interests include the broad field of smart cities in general, and renewable energies in this context in particular.
