Sitzungssaal 6, Building AD

About this workshop

This workshop will introduce participants to harmonized wealth microdata from Luxembourg Wealth Study (LWS) Database, the first cross-national wealth database that contains 78 datasets from 19 countries from 1995 to 2019. The workshop will focus on introducing participants to access and work with LWS. We will discuss the typical structure of LWS data, focus on some caveats of wealth data related to unit and item non-response and learn how to deal with them while calculating the estimates. We will also discuss the shared framework for the HFCS and LWS data, highlighting both databases' complementary characters. This workshop will include lectures and empirical exercises using Stata software. However, the participants are not required to have Stata on their computers as all exercises will be performed via a remote-execution system (LISSY) that allows researchers to submit statistical programs to obtain results based on LWS data.
