Position at IIB, other positions and academic career
Moritz has been working as a research and teaching associate at the Institute for International Business since Oktober 2013. He earned his doctoral degree in 2017, completing a dissertation about firms' foreign operation mode strategies. Moritz also holds an MSc and CEMS MIM in International Management. He was a visiting scholar at Florida International University from February to May 2016 and spent a semester at Stockholm School of Economics during his studies. Before that, Moritz earned his Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management while working for the Deutsche Lufthansa Corporation in parallel.
During his career Moritz has gained significant international and practical experience while - among others - doing internships in Investment Banking and Consulting.
Moritz' research interests lie in the field of internationalization processes and the influence of institutions on internationalization. In particular he analyzes how firms dynamically develop their foreign operations after they have initially internationalized to a certain country. His dissertation was entitled: "Multinational Firms' Foreign Operation Mode Strategies: Phenomena and Antecedents".
