Position at IIB, other positions and academic career
Patricia Klopf is working as a research and teaching associate at the Institute for International Business since May 2014. She holds a Master's degree in Economics from Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU Vienna) and gained international experience by spending a semester abroad at the BI Norwegian Business School Oslo, Norway. Beforehand Patricia earned her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with specializations in Entrepreneurship & Innovation and Behavioral Management from WU Vienna.
During her studies she gained significant practical experience mainly in the banking and insurance industry and through internships at Siemens AG in Vienna. In addition, she participated in a research project at the Austrian central bank (OeNB). She currently contributes to a project on gender differences in wealth.
In her private life, Patricia likes doing sports (running, cycling and snowboarding), she enjoys reading and Austrian cabaret.
Patricia's research interests lean towards multinational headquarters-subsidiary relationships and activities, among others, in the context of institutional theory. Furthermore she has a general interest in research methods and analytics ("big data").
