Position at IIB, other positions and academic career
Florian has been a research and teaching associate at the Institute for International Business since October 2015 and an assistant professor since February 2019. He is a CEMS MIM/MSc. graduate from WU Vienna and National University of Singapore. Before that, Florian earned his Bachelor degree at WU Vienna with an exchange semester spent in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Florian also has experience as a management consultant for the Boston Consulting Group and with other firms in the consulting, banking and public sectors and extensive experience as an independent management consultant in the areas of internationalization and export strategies. He is an instructor of various courses in our CEMS MIM/MSc. and BSc. program. He completed his dissertation entitled "Institutions and dynamics in international business: conceptualization, measurement and firm strategies in product and capital markets" in January 2019. His work has been published in renowned IB journals as well as presented at academic conferences in the IB area.
Florian’s research interest is in the field of international finance, internationalization strategy and their dependence on the institutional environment in general and institutional dynamics in particular.
