Benoit joined the Institute for International Business as a Research and Teaching Associate/PhD Student in 2014. In 2018, Benoit was a visiting student researcher at Stanford University. He is a CEMS alumnus and received an MSc in International Marketing and Management from Copenhagen Business School in Denmark. Before that he received a BSc in Business Administration from IESEG School of Management in France.
During his studies, Benoit increased his international experience studying at the Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich and the HKUST Business School in Hong Kong.
He gained professional experience working on or doing consulting projects for organizations such as L'Oréal, Groupe Adeo, British American Tobacco and Transparency International. While a student at Copenhagen Business School, Benoit also worked as a research assistant in the Department of Strategic Management and Globalization.
His research focuses on multinational firm strategy and intra-firm relationships. In his dissertation, he studied the involvement of headquarters in their subsidiaries and the effects of such involvement. Currently, he is investigating how multinational corporations can access and integrate external knowledge from innovation clusters.
