Pos­i­tion at IIB, other pos­i­tions and aca­demic ca­reer

Ben­oit joined the In­sti­tute for In­ter­na­tional Busi­ness as a Re­search and Teach­ing As­so­ci­ate/PhD Stu­dent in 2014. In 2018, Ben­oit was a vis­it­ing stu­dent re­searcher at Stan­ford Uni­versity. He is a CEMS alum­nus and re­ceived an MSc in In­ter­na­tional Mar­ket­ing and Man­age­ment from Copen­ha­gen Busi­ness School in Den­mark. Be­fore that he re­ceived a BSc in Busi­ness Ad­min­is­tra­tion from IE­SEG School of Man­age­ment in France.

Dur­ing his stud­ies, Ben­oit in­creased his in­ter­na­tional ex­per­i­ence study­ing at the Lud­wig-Max­imili­ans Uni­versity in Mu­nich and the HKUST Busi­ness School in Hong Kong.

He gained pro­fes­sional ex­per­i­ence work­ing on or do­ing con­sult­ing pro­jects for or­gan­iz­a­tions such as L'Oréal, Groupe Adeo, Brit­ish Amer­ican To­bacco and Trans­par­ency In­ter­na­tional. While a stu­dent at Copen­ha­gen Busi­ness School, Ben­oit also worked as a re­search assist­ant in the De­part­ment of Stra­tegic Man­age­ment and Glob­al­iz­a­tion.

Re­search in­terest

His re­search fo­cuses on mul­tina­tional firm strategy and in­tra-firm re­la­tion­ships. In his dis­ser­ta­tion, he stud­ied the in­volve­ment of headquar­ters in their sub­si­di­ar­ies and the ef­fects of such in­volve­ment. Cur­rently, he is in­vest­ig­at­ing how mul­tina­tional cor­por­a­tions can ac­cess and in­teg­rate ex­ternal know­ledge from in­nov­a­tion clusters.
