Position at IIB, other positions and academic career
Christina joined the Institute of International Business as a research and teaching associate in September 2019. She earned an MSc in Law and Accounting from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a BSc in Accounting and Finance from the University of York. During her academic studies she specialised in IFRS reporting, corporate finance and asset markets, EU M&A law and corporate criminal law.
During her studies, Christina gained work experience in management consulting, audit, accounting and marketing. Upon completion of her master's degree, she worked at the Financial Markets Authority as a banking supervisor within the Single Supervisory Mechanism (SSM). Following this, she worked as a deals consultant at PwC, mainly focusing on equity valuations, business and restructuring planning and financial modelling. She is also a Level III candidate of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) programme.
Christina enjoys playing tennis, having competed in tournaments, the Austrian national league and university teams for several years.
Christina's research interests lie in the field of entrepreneurial finance in high-technology markets, looking at dynamics in traditional and emerging sources of financing, the financial growth cycle, the structuring of funding contracts and value creation through IPO and acquisition exit strategies.
