Arne Floh is Senior Lecturer in international marketing with a special focus on digitalization, social media, and marketing analytics in the process of internationalization of small- and medium-sized enterprises. After studying business administration, he received his doctoral degree from the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU Vienna). In the following years, Arne held temporary positions at Emory University (USA), University of Passau (Germany), and University of Linz (Austria) before he joined the University of Surrey (UK) in 2012 as Associate Professor in Marketing. Finally, he returned to the WU Vienna and the Institute for International Business in 2021.
Arne has vast (international) experience in teaching and supervising at all program levels (BSc, MSc, MBA, PhD). In the past, he taught digital marketing and social media, research methods, marketing research, and marketing analytics using R at master and PhD level. At WU, Arne teaches in the programs International Business (BSc), International Management/CEMS (MSc) and Export- und Internationalisierungsmanagement (MSc). Currently, he offers modules on international marketing, international business, decision making in international marketing, and international marketing research and quantitative methods.
Arne's research interests include all questions of marketing science and methodology, relationship marketing (e.g. Word-of-Mouth, Customer Loyalty, and Customer Value), and digital marketing in a global context. His research has been published in the Journal of Retailing, Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Business Research, Psychology & Marketing, Journal of Marketing Management, Australasian Marketing Journal, Journal of Electronic Commerce Research, International Journal of Electronic Business, Journal of International Technology and Information Management, Journal of Mobile Communications and the proceedings of various IS and Marketing academic conferences.
In his spare time, Arne likes to spend time with his family and friends. He is a passionate football player and likes red wine.
