Research interest

Claudia’s research interest includes two major areas. One is the field of gender inequalities in the workplace, especially in the financial sector. In current projects, she investigates gender inequalities in organizations from a performance management perspective. More specific, she tries to explain the gender gap in leadership and pay with the help of internal control systems. To address these research questions, Claudia uses empirical methods, in particular archival data analysis and surveys. The closeness of her research to practice is of particular importance to her, which is why she works largely with company data.

Moreover, Claudia is interested in the relation between diversity in organizations and firm performance. An interest is also firm valuation and how firm value can or should be influenced by corporate diversity.
