Klaus Marhold, Ph.D.

Klaus Marhold is an Assistant Professor (NTT) at the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. His research focuses on how firms acquire, process and employ knowledge and resources to create innovation. His recent publications and ongoing research investigate external knowledge acquisition through alliances, M&As and CVC deals, as well as knowledge networks and knowledge reservoirs in organizations.

Before joining the E&I Team in 2019, Klaus worked as a lecturer at Seoul National University and as a manager at a Korean technology startup. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from the Technology Management, Economics and Policy Program at Seoul National University and also holds MA degrees in East Asian Economy and Society and Korean Studies from the University of Vienna. He also holds an Austrian engineering degree in Industrial Engineering and has several years of working experience in the aerospace sector.
