The E&I Touchdown is the festive semester closing event organized by the Institute for Entrepreneurship & Innovation (E&I) of the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU). The focus are the results of the practical projects and start-up ideas, which our students have intensively dealt with during one semester. By now, the E&I Institute counts more than 850 projects with project partners such as Microsoft, IKEA, ÖBB, CERN or KPMG. Courses like the E&I Garage offer students a space to realize their ideas. We are proud to have successfully supported start-ups like hokify, Kern Tec and LeadMe in their ideation process!

This semester you can enjoy a virtual event in three acts. The interactive online setting offers a detailed insight into the Institute's work, the collaborations with project partners and the courses with our high potential students.

Entrepreneurial mindset - nature or nurture?

What are entrepreneurs like? Which skills are presumably natural and which can be acquired? Questions like these are frequently the subject of controversial discussions. At this semester's E&I Touchdown we will try to answer these questions.

Day 1: Connect - Meet the E&I Institute (16/06/2021)
What is happening at E&I? How does our Institute work and how do we prepare students for their working life through the lens of an entrepreneurial mindset? We provide insights into our programs from Bachelor to MBA.

Day 2: Collaborate - Workshops (17/06/2021)
At E&I, we practice what we preach - this is why we are happy to announce that we are offering exciting workshops on entrepreneurship and innovation.

Day 3: Celebrate - Keynote, Award Ceremony (18/06/2021)
Studying E&I means living entrepreneurship and innovation! Therefore, we are dedicating the stage at our virtual live event to our high potential students, who will showcase their outstanding project work results. After the keynote, the so-called Best Pitch Awards will be presented. A high-class jury consisting of industry and start-up experts will honor the best pitch in the categories Bachelor and Master. Additionally, our MBA students will provide insights into their best projects. Finally, we are curious to see which team can convince the crowd and wins the Audience Award!
