The WU Commemorative Concert will feature an exclusive performance by Roman Grinberg and his klezmer-jazz fusion band, Vienna JazzKlez. Their music combines jazz, klezmer, and traditional Yiddish songs.

During the years of the Nazi regime, graduates of the University of World Trade (Hochschule für Welthandel) – the institution that would later become WU – were stripped of their academic degrees. So far, these academic degrees have not been formally restored to their rightful holders.

The concert will include a symbolic act where these academic degrees will be restored to their holders.
