ENGAGE.EU Online Exchange Initiative
Together with its partners in the ENGAGE.EU alliance, WU Vienna launched an online exchange initiative. Students can apply for a range of online courses offered by participating universities.
You will be part of a virtual and international classroom. Benefit from international learning opportunities and exchange ideas with students from different countries!
Course offer and application
For details on the courses offer, the application process, and additional information, please refer to the dedicated section regarding our online exchange initiative on the ENGAGE.eu website. Courses are listed at the factsheets or website of each ENGAGE university. Students apply online or by mail at the respective partner university. The common application period for winter semester 21/22 lasts from July 1-July 16, 2021.
At the end of your virtual exchange, you will receive an official transcript of records which you will need for the credit transfer process at WU.
On bachelor's level, credits from completed online courses can be transferred to your WU degree as a free elective.
For students majoring in International Business Administration (IBW), business-related courses are eligible for the IBW international experience. Please be aware of the following regulations:
BaWiSo 19 students graduating before October 1, 2021 and BaWiSo 12 students: credits completed as part of the initiative are eligible for the IBW international experience.
BaWiSo 19 students graduating after October 1, 2021: if you have completed at least 8 ECTS within the initiative, then this counts as mobility and the IBW international experience is considered completed according to the new BaWiSo 19 curriculum.
Please note that these are special regulations due to COVID-19 and only apply for courses taken within the ENGAGE.EU Online Exchange Initiative and the CBS-HSG-WU Online Course Initiative in winter semester 2020/21, summer semester 2021 and winter semester 2021/22.
Business courses worth at least 4 ECTS credits can also be transferred as international courses / international elective.
If you want to transfer your credits, note that the online course needs to be graded and that a pass/fail is not sufficient!
For all other credit transfers on bachelor’s and master’s level, please contact our colleagues at the Study Service Center: email@example.com. When contacting them, include a course description and name the WU study plan item you wish the credits to be transferred to.
