A Warm Welcome to Our New Students!

Studies

In mid-September, new students of our German-taught Bachelor’s programs had the opportunity to participate in this year's Welcome Days – these were held online for the first time. Our goal was to provide information on organizing one’s studies and settling in at WU before the first semester starts. We also wanted to give new students the opportunity to get to know fellow students in small groups.

In a live stream broadcast from our ceremonial hall, Rector Edeltraud Hanappi-Egger and Vice Rector for Academic Programs & Student Affairs Margarethe Rammerstorfer welcomed new students. This was the beginning of a two-day online event. It consisted of interactive live streams, Q&A chat sessions, online meet-ups for students, information on extracurricular activities, and useful tips for organizing one’s student life.

After this successful event, we wish all of you a great start at WU and all the best for your first semester.

Application deadlines for WU’s English-taught master’s programs

[Translate to English:] Studium

The application period for our English-taught master’s programs starting in the 2021/22 winter semester is now open. At the time of application, you do not need a completed bachelor’s program. To apply, please use our online application tool. WU uses a rolling admission system, which means that there are three so-called “priority deadlines”:

- Priority deadline I: October 8, 2020

- Priority deadline II: January 8, 2021

- Priority deadline III: March 8, 2021

If you apply by October 8, 2020, we will let you know by Christmas whether the program of your choice has accepted you. The earlier you apply, the earlier you will be notified of the status of your application.

Please note that for the International Management/CEMS program, only the first two priority deadlines apply. Last chance to apply: January 8, 2021.

Please check the program-specific application requirements and admission procedures online.
