Application deadlines for WU’s English-taught master’s programs
The application period for our English-taught master’s programs starting in the 2020/21 winter semester is now open.
At the time of application, you do not need a completed bachelor’s program. To apply, please use our online application tool. WU uses a rolling admission system, which means that there are three so-called “priority deadlines”:
Priority deadline I: October 8, 2019
Priority deadline II: January 8, 2020
Priority deadline III: March 8, 2020
If you apply by October 8, 2019, we will let you know by Christmas whether you have been accepted by the program of your choice. The earlier you apply, the earlier you will be notified of the status of your application.
Please note that for the International Management/CEMS program, only the first two priority deadlines apply. Last chance to apply: January 8, 2020.
Please check the program-specific application requirements and admission procedures online.

There is always room for one more… or is there?
To help you get the most out of your study time in the WU Library, we are introducing the following improvements this fall:
Build your ideal study group
The modular five-sided tables on level 4 of the Central Library can be pushed together, pulled apart, and combined freely to suit the size of your study group. We provide the tables and some suggested group seating plans, you just need to bring your friends and fellow students!
More space and more time to work in D4
The Library for Social Sciences in the D4 building now has about 30 additional work stations, as well as new, longer opening hours from 9:00 am – 6:00 pm (Monday to Friday).
Pull up a barstool at the search_bar
If you have questions about literature research or reference management software, pull up a stool and join us at the search_bar: Starting on October 1, the bar is open Tuesdays from 2:00-3:00 pm and Thursdays from 3:00-4:00 pm in the Library Information area – no reservations required!
How crowded is the Library right now?
How many spaces are currently available in the Central Library and the Library for Law? How crowded are they likely to be later in the day? Effective immediately, you can use our new occupancy tracker to check online from home or on your cell phone how many people are currently using the libraries.
Bring your own box and reduce plastic waste
We all know the following scenario: You are hungry, you quickly get take-out and enjoy your meal at your favorite place on campus. Afterwards, your stomach is full, and so is the garbage can. To address this problem, the WU environmental team has come up with a great initiative: Bring Your Own Box! Have your lunch filled into your own reusable snack box and get a reward. Between October 14 and 31, 2019, you get a stamp at the participating restaurants (Das Campus, Library-Cafe, Bashly and Kung WU) whenever you bring your own box for their take-out food. Once you have eight stamps, you can redeem your reward card for a reusable WU-branded coffee-to-go cup.
Be part of this initiative and help us to reduce plastic waste!
Students and employees at WU should not only be present in their professional roles but also feel welcome as a person per se. This also includes the use of the restrooms. The previous marking of the restrooms according to women and men excludes all people who cannot or do not want to assign themselves to either of the two genders. This marking can lead to unpleasant situations and exclusion in everyday life. To prevent exclusion and create an even more inclusive environment at WU, every WU building is going to have one gender-neutral restroom from October 2019. You can find further information on the WU Blog.
