Social Skills Certificate - Your commitment pays off
Beginning with winter semester 2017/18, students who are involved in the field of social competence and/or in volunteering/support programs of the WU have the opportunity to apply for a social skills certificate. The goal is to enable the development of personality and social skills in addition to a sound scientific education. The prerequisites are participation in specific workshops in the field of social competence or participation in the Mentoring@WU or Volunteering@WU program.
Say NO to harassment!
Together we can create a fair, non-discriminatory environment for faculty, students, and staff at WU. The “Say NO to Harassment” brochure is a good source of information and can help you actively stand up against sexual harassment and other forms of discrimination. In addition to giving examples and explaining legal regulations, the brochure also includes an overview of all relevant contacts at WU in the section “Advice and Support at WU.”

WU Changemaker Program – Extra-curricular education program for aspiring Changemakers
The „Changemaker Program“ is a new program for WU students who would like to make a difference and at the same time hone useful skills for their personal lives and future careers.
This extra-curricular program was created by the WU Entrepreneurship center this year. The goal is to impart entrepreneurship competencies and 21st century skills to interested students.“Changemaker” is project-based and aims at implementing a real-world impact project to make a contribution in our society. After completing the program, students will earn 4 ECTS credits counting towards their free electives (Freie Wahlfächer).
First, students learn entrepreneurship knowledge and skills in online modules and in-class workshops. After that, they apply their new knowledge and skills in a project. This year, students help elementary school children organize a market day. Committed students help school children gain entrepreneurial skills and thus show them new perspectives.
