Mentoring Program for Academic Writing – Support for Bachelor’s Students

WU’s Mentoring Program for Academic Writing helps bachelor’s students improve their writing skills by focussing on the writing process rather the finished product.

You will learn strategies to guide you through various writing phases, and try out a number of creative writing methods. In addition, hands-on exercises and (peer) feedback will also contribute to improving your writing skills.

Participants in the program will be part of a small group of bachelor’s students led by two writing mentors. With the help of your mentors, you will be working on a writing project and expand your writing skills.

If you are you interested in improving your (academic) writing skills, you will find more information on our website.

Please note: this program is offered in German and we will focus on academic writing in German.

If you have any questions, please contact schreibmentoring@wu.ac.at.

International Business Administration Major: New Procedure for Confirming the International Experience Requirement

WU has implemented a new procedure in order to simplify confirmation of the international experience (“IBW-Auslandserfahrung”) for students in the International Business Administration major: Prior to spending a semester abroad one of WU’s partner universities, students will apply online for course recognition and for the confirmation of their international experience - all at the same time.

Upon returning to Vienna, students need to go to the Study Service Center and hand in their documents. SSC staff will then recognize the credits taken abroad (credit transfer) and enter the completed International Experience in the system.

Interested in Participating in an Exchange Program?

All WU students have the opportunity to gain international experience by taking part in an exchange program organized by WU. You can find the application deadlines and other important dates regarding a stay abroad during the summer semester 2018 here.
