WU Changemaker Markttag

[Translate to English:] Service

"Bright children's eyes when entering a real university".

"The commitment of the children and how enthusiastic they are about this program"

"The excitement just before the start of the Markttag".

With the Changemaker Markttag, we make entrepreneurial thinking and acting come alive for elementary school children. Interest in economic contexts is awakened and the children are encouraged to participate confidently in the economy and society through active project work.

The absolute highlight is the Markttag, during which the children sell their self-made works at their own market stall at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU). On this special day, all participating classes come together.

On behalf of about 300 elementary school kids, we cordially invite you to our:

WU Changemaker Markttag

Date: June 13, 2022

Time: from 10:30 a.m. (until 12 p.m.)

Location: Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU), 1020 Vienna - Building Learning Center (LC).

To make sure you have the date in your calendar and get an automatic reminder a few days before, we have created a registration form here: https://short.wu.ac.at/markttag-2022

More details about the Changemaker Program:

The basic idea is simple: students receive training in entrepreneurship and pedagogy. These "Changemakers" then support elementary school students in implementing their own first entrepreneurship project, i.e., putting their own ideas into action. The school workshops focus on topics such as: How do I find a good idea? What is my market and who are my customers? How can I do business sustainably? The final highlight is the "Markttag", when the children sell their self-made works at their own stand.

The project was selected as one of the TOP 8 projects of the MEGA Bildungsstiftung in 2021 and, thanks to their support, is now also being organized in Upper Austria, Styria and Vorarlberg.

More information about the program and inspiration via our aftermovie can be found at: www.changemaker.wien

We look forward to seeing you there!
