Need-­based schol­ar­ship grants

Grants for an ex­change semester or in­tern­­ship abroad

The In­ter­­n­a­­tional Of­fice of­fers var­i­ous types of mobil­ity grants and schol­ar­­ships. If you have been of­fi­­cially nom­in­ated for an ex­change semester at one of WU’s part­ner uni­versit­ies or you are in­ter­­es­ted in do­ing an in­tern­­ship abroad you have the possib­il­ity to ap­ply for the fol­low­ing types of grants:

  • Er­­as­mus+ grants for ex­change stays in the 28 EU mem­ber states plus Iceland, Liecht­en­stein, Nor­way, the FYR of Mace­­do­nia, and Tur­key

  • Joint Study grants for ex­change stays at part­ner uni­versit­ies over­­seas, in Rus­sia, Ser­­­bia, Montenegro and in Ukraine

  • CEE­PUS grants for ex­change stays at a CEE­PUS part­ner uni­versity (se­lec­ted part­ner uni­versit­ies in Cent­ral and Eastern Europe)

  • Er­­as­mus+ grants for in­tern­­ships in the 28 EU mem­ber states plus Iceland, Liecht­en­stein, Nor­way, the FYR of Mace­­do­nia, and Tur­key

Phil­ippe de Woot Award

The Phil­ippe de Woot Award was set up by the Uni­versité cath­oli­que de Louv­ain (Bel­gium) in order to pro­mote sus­tain­ab­il­ity and cor­por­ate so­cial re­spons­ib­il­ity.

Every other year, the award is given to one or more gradu­ates of a mas­ter's pro­gram around the world for their out­stand­ing mas­ter's theses on CSR or the con­tri­bu­tion of com­pan­ies/or­gan­iz­a­tions to sus­tain­able devel­op­ment.

In 2018, the award will be given to gradu­ates who com­pleted their mas­ter's theses in the 2015/16 or the 2016/17 aca­demic year.

The win­ner will re­ceive € 3,000 - € 1,500 of which will go dir­ectly to him/her, while the other € 1,500 will be donated to an en­vir­on­mental or so­cial pro­ject chosen by the win­ner.

The award ce­re­mony will be held in March 2018 at the Uni­versité cath­oli­que de Louv­ain dur­ing a CSR con­fer­ence.
